A concert celebrating Jewish American composers

  • Piano Concerto in F by George Gershwin with guest soloist Neal Stulberg, Director of the Orchestral Studies at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
  • Bernard Herrmann - Concert Suite from Hitchcock's Vertigo
  • World premiere of Symphony No. 1: Judaica (Days of Awe) by LA-based composer Steve Rothstein.
  • Commissioned by the Judaic Sacred Music Foundation and conducted by Maestro Tomasz Golka, the Days of Awe symphony features some of the most well-known and beloved melodies of Jewish music tradition. Each of the four movements is based on prayers from the High Holy Days.
  • A composition in the tradition of Tchaikovsky, the rich melodies will delight and inspire music fans.
