2019 Young Artist
Allegro Level: (Riverside County K through 12 students) Must be enrolled in a public or private school, participate in an orchestra or wind ensemble program AND study with a private teacher, OR home school students that study an orchestral instrument with a private teacher.
Vivace Level: (Riverside County college/university orchestral music performance major students) Must be enrolled as full-time music major and taking applied music (private lessons).
All applicants must be available on April 6th, Saturday 2:00-4:30 p.m. AND 7:30-10:00 p.m. for the rehearsal and concert. Performing in the March Masterclass is strongly encouraged for those that accepted. Attending (auditing) the Masterclass is free and open to the public.
Provide links to two video recordings of your playing two contrasting pieces, movements or etudes (no ensemble excerpts), one lyrical and one technical, with a combined time of up to 10 minutes. If the repertoire you choose is longer than 10 minutes, record just a portion. Accompaniment is not required.
